FLUID POWER TERRITORY MANAGER

BEHCO-MRM, Inc., is seeking a Fluid Power Territory Manager in the Metro Detroit area for a geography with both an established customer base and plenty of room to grow.  We encourage those individuals meeting the minimum requirements to respond immediately, with phone interviews for selected candidates being scheduled immediately, followed by onsite interviews.  Competitive compensation package, excellent benefits, and the growth opportunity that comes with being a member of a rapidly growing distributor.  MUST have a proven track record of success selling pneumatic and/or hydraulic products.

 

SENIOR APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

BEHCO-MRM has an immediate need for a Senior Application Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful sales organization and use your technical skills to bring our customer’s products to life.

Job Summary

This Senior Application Engineer will work out of their home or our Hudsonville office and report to our Madison Heights, MI office. He or she will work with the sales team in our Hudsonville office to assist customers throughout central and western Michigan. Applications team members are essential to our engineer-to-engineer collaborative sales model. The applications engineering team reports to the acting applications team manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop partnership relationships with key customers/accounts
  • Interface with customers in-person, via telephone, email, and social media to help them:

– Determine which product is most appropriate for their application

– Properly size our products for their application- Apply our products in their applications through proper training

– Resolve issues they encounter in their development activities

– Obtain information about products and services

– Resolve concerns or complaints

  • Demonstrate product functionality to enhance customer understanding of unique product functions and features
  • Act in a support role to the Sales Territory Managers, Account Manager, and Product Managers through joint sales calls and other collaborative activities
  • Communicate and work as part of a team; working toward shared goals
  • Travel throughout western and central Michigan is part of the normal business routine. Occasion travel for training at our partner’s manufacturing locations is also required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities required

  • A deep knowledge of the application of a significant number of the following technologies is essential:

– Servo Drives

– General Purpose Drives

– PLCs

– Collaborative robots

– Linear actuators

– HMI programming

  • Solid computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Must be self-confident, organized, and manage time efficiently
  • Able to use critical thinking, logic, and reason to identify solutions or approaches to a problem.
  • Able to read and comprehend written and spoken English in work-related documents, catalogs, etc.
  • Able to communicate clearly in English via written and spoken communication (with the ability to convey information effectively).

Job requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience working with customers to commission industrial motion control products and systems
  • Bachelor’s Degree is desired but not required
  • Willingness to cross train on other engineering disciplines
